What is compostable packaging?
Compostable packaging is made from natural materials such as cornstarch, sugarcane, or other plant-based resources. Under the right conditions, these packages break down biologically into water, CO₂, and compost.
Although we no longer keep compostable packaging in stock as standard, we can produce them on demand. Starting from 5,000 units, we can reproduce your existing design or create a completely new concept. Feel free to contact our team to discuss the possibilities.

Why don’t we stock these pouches anymore?
This is partly because the infrastructure for processing compostable materials is still under development. In most cases, compostable packaging is removed from organic waste and processed together with residual waste, which does not fully align with its intended purpose. Additionally, compostable packaging is not always the best choice for every product. For example, they offer different levels of protection and a shorter shelf life. However, we understand that compostable packaging may be the perfect match for you and your product. That’s why we continue to offer these products as custom solutions.

The future of recycled materials
We often get asked: "Can you make bags from recycled material?" The answer is: not fully yet. 100% recycled plastic is not yet approved for food packaging due to food safety regulations. However, we offer a range of materials that contain up to 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastics. We are working hard to make this available for all our recyclable bags as soon as possible!
